Created a new page on my site and got immediate pagerank

This struck me as odd. I have several pages in my site. Home page is PR5, the rest of the pages range from PR2 to PR4. Tonight, I created a new page for the site, that I will be completing with content this week. At the moment, it is simply a blank content area, with my navigation links on the left and top, as well as a couple affiliate ads.

The page got an immediate PR of 4. This seemed odd to me, but maybe it is normal. I wouldn't have expected to get PR until the next update.

Maybe not, but it is still strange how that page already shows rank on the toolbar.

I have had similar PageRank instances like that. But normally it was always due to my toolbar being messed up or dynamic urls.

ok, *slaps head* the site posted from googles cache used to have the URL of the current new page. I remember changing that URL a couple months ago to add the "-"

    It all makes sense now.
