Google Penalized my site for using PLR content?

Discussion in 'Google' started by gauharjk, Nov 4, 2007.

I created many articles & pages using PLR content.

But I seems someone else also bought the PLR package, and published the same content on another package.

My site used to rank in the top 10 rankings for that term in Google India, but now it has completely disappeared. Either Google has flushed clean its database, or possibly Google penalized the site for using paid PLR content.

The pages are completely out of the Google database. Google sitemaps is suddenly reporting the pages are not indexed yet, but infact they had a PR 2 for the last 2 months.

that's what can happen when you purchase content, do you think you are the only one who the seller is selling to?

    Create good quality UNIQUE content.

Scraped content has no business being in the SERP's

Good lesson learned. Never buy content from anyone. One of my friend bought an article posted for sale in a forum. Today, when you google for the topic, the forum posting appear ahead of his article in his website. So, everyone knows his article was bought from someone.

Nothing wrong with buying content, you just have to be careful, buy the right content from the right people, etc...
