What the hell are you talking about?
People do SEO to get their sites on better position, so they manipulate the search results, does this mean they do fraud? come on..

People are going crazy over Google changes. No one has forced anyone to go by PR. Its google's rating of public/private domains. One is free to interpret it anyway or discard and derecognize it. No hard feelings from G on that.

Don't spread crappy information.....no one has ever sued Google or PR or Serps and won....Kinderstart sued and lost, and they lost big, Kinderstart had to pay Google's lawyer fees and the Kinderstart lawyer that took the case got sanctioned for filing such an outrageous lawsuit..

Please softgroups, with the many posts that you have in the forum be very careful about what you post because people will start to quote it as being correct.

THERE IS NO CASE OF ANYONE SUING GOOGLE OVER PAGERANK OR SERPS AND WINNING.

here is a link to some details about the kinderstart case
    http://blog.ericgoldman.org/archives/2006/07/kinderstart_law.htm

and to this day kinderstart is still not listed in Google

I believe the number of complainers - do we have such a word? complainer? - has a huge importance on this issue. For example if 10000 webmaster file a complain against G it would be consider much more sensible. A high number shows that the assumption behind "trading based on PR" could be a common sense.

the point is.... they always find a way to improve their search result. one of the step is to eliminate link selling.

Just think about this for a second...
    Hiring a lawyer, over $100 a hour.
Chances of winning =1% , You will have wasted a lot of money.

Don't risk it, unless you have a REALLY good case, and unfortunately this isn't a good enough case.

Of course, American can sue for anything! But look at the odds of winning the law suit.

#1 They got huge phonebook of attorney that we dont have.
#2 They can afford the risk even if they lose the lawsuit. We cant!
#3 Its a hidden system, who told you about pagerank anyways. Just because you were fascinated about some green bars on Google Toolbar. They never did promoted page rank in the way of "Come use me".

So i guess you should reconsider on what you're planning to do.

I suggest you to spend time suing many other websites. Google is useful for most people in the world.

They wouldn't need to spend this much money to win this case. They could just hire that lawyer from The Simpsons to win the case for them for a couple of dollars and a used birdcage found in Homer's garbage. :)

Forbes or the WP will not sue Google. What they will do is sack the ass of the idiots who advised them to sell TLA and did not bother to tell the owners/executive of these companies that it was against Google's TOS and they will be penalised for it.

Or they will not care, as the SERPS have not been affected by the drop as far as I have heard. And neither of these sites rely on PR anyway (except for the TLA - please read the above and repeat)
