I have a huge list of database of emails and names of people who are my targeted audience. I was just wondering if there is a software to send the bulk emails. Are there any free ones that does not give it away that they are actually free? Thanks
I don't know of any free solutions but you can get the "ProfitSponder" for a whopping 6 bucks. I haven't used this script personally (I use Aweber) but I've heard it will get the job done. That said, I sure hope these are good emails or you will get a large amount of spam complaints and may get your entire domain blacklisted. This is the risk to running a script on your own server. My suggestion? Get a cheap hosting account to put ProfitSponder on and mail out in relatively small batches (say 500 or so at a time). Send these visitors to a site with a free offering and capture their names/emails again using Aweber and from then on you won't have any trouble.
how do you get phplist to work? can you give me info how to set it up? i want a way to send mail without my ip being on the line.
mail sent from Aweber can be tracked. He don't want to be tracked. The application like invisible browser will help. It has functionality to change proxy server on regular interval.
My suggestion: DON'T SEND IT! It sounds like you must not have a lot of faith in this list. If you spam you run a high risk of getting caught, blacklisted, etc. You might be able to send from a different server somewhere (like aweber, if your list is verifiably doubt opt-in) but if you include a link in your message back to your site, that site will be in for a world of hurt.
Though I am not going to spam (since the database of email is opt-in), do you think it will be better if I take them to a blogspot page and redirect to my website..lest I am blacklisted if a few mark it as spam?
