Wats the current highest bid? Just out of curiosity, any idea why there has been a drastic fall in PR from PR4 to PR1?

Current highest bid is $80. The drop in PR is due to the fact that the forum hasn't been active, nor has it been promoted for the last several months.

Being active or not has nothing to do with the drop of PR. In any case, I am willing to bid $85.

Can you confirm me about the traffic for the days since you posted it for sale up to today? And also, since I don't have a VB license could you keep the site for lets say at least a week or two until I get me a license and install it?

I beg to differ. There can literally be hundreds, if not thousands of people who may link to the images within the forum so that they don't have to host the images on their servers. Why do you think image hosting sites are so popular? It's because it creates a ton of one way backlinks to the site from users and it is one of the primary ways forums can build PR. I'm only talking about PR, not that this should be the only way someone advertises a forum.

User registration has been turned off for the past couple of months and therefore the forum is really only acting as a picture gallery. To me, activity leads to traffic, which leads to people linking to images, threads, and posts. If any of those links are posted on some relevant, PR bearing, sites/pages...that all counts towards the PR of this site. I am not at all saying that the huge drop in PR is all attributed to what I mentioned, but to say that it has "nothing" to do with it isn't entirely true wheter it applies to this forum or any others.

Why does DP's "Buy, Sell, Trade" section have a PR5?

Can you clarify what you needed to see? Are you looking for stats leading up to the day I posted it for sale? Or are you looking for the stats for the days that it has been up for sale?

I don't have any problem holding onto the site for 2-4 weeks since it is hosted on my dedicated server. So no worries there.

As long as the links point to the image directly you can forget about raising PR, but if those links point to thread thats another story.

Anyway I wanted to see stats from the day you posted the forum for sale up to day.

    Hi Caligent

I am new to this whole buy a site thing and wondered if you could clear something up for me. You have posted a BIN but also refer to a "reserve" Now I just agreed to a BIN for another website and was told that "surely I understood that it wasn't a BIN?" So I am a bit unclear about all this. Is a reserve bigger than a BIN and what is a BIn really if not a "buy it now" amount?

    Thanks for your help

"Reserve" is the least amount of money you would accept for the site. BIN is exactly that, the amount of money a seller is willing to take right now for the site. The "reserve" is always lower than the BIN price. I'm not sure what is going on with your other transaction. It sounds like you thought that the seller's reserve was also his BIN price.

Yes and no. Last month's stats were higher than the previous 3 months before. This forum added some visits, but traffic is just about the same. Where will it be in the long term? My guess is it could potentially drop just because no one is taking care of it.
