I have created some channels and have them all working. But sometimes public ads get put in my google ad spots on my site. Does anyone else have this problem? If so how can I keep this from happening I only what my channel ads to show up that relate to my site?

I kind of figure it would have to be that way. But is there a way to put another channel as an alternative add? I can not see where this can be done.

Channels are for reporting and have nothing to do with ad selection.

Wow, now I am confused. I have been referring to custom channels. I can see where they are for reporting but correct me if I am wrong but if I create a custom channel and make it "tools", then anything related to tools will show up in my adds right?

But once and a while public adds will appear in them. I want to keep it only related to what my custom channel is. So you say use alternative adds and I am going to try that. But can't I use my one of my other custom channels as an alternative add?

Maybe I have this whole concept wrong.

Sorry, no. Custom channels are only for reporting.

Actually, you should determine why you are getting the PSAs and fix the problem, rather than wasting a lot of time on alternates. Is your topic so narrowly niched that maybe Google doesn't have ads to display? Here are some other possible problems.

Thank you for that advice. That was exactly what the problem was. One of my adds was set to display image ads only. I changed it and have not had the problem since.
