    Can we sue google?!

Because they made us to use their google pagerank , as something we can trust, and now they turn again us (of those who buy/sell links) and ruined our business.

So they used are trust somehow ...

They are providing a service, you are free to use it or not. There are other search engines if you like to use. I am sure they have a terms of use.

Google would probably be able to waste $1b on lawyers.

They threw away 1.6b on youtube :\

G created PR to measure or display popularity and WE - the global community CHEATED Google by buying/selliing links and linkfarming - all this behavior resulted in a PR that had / has absolutely NOTHING at all to do with real popularity of a site!

Hence - Google could sue all the cheaters ..
instead G is generous and simply dropped PR for cheaters.

G intentions when PR was created were good, all those who then tried to artificially change organic PR have done all that "damage" if any. Hence if anyone to sue - then link farmers.

Sure you can sue. Anyone can sue anybody for anything. They might not win ... if I were a betting man I'd give this case 0 % odds.

What exactly would you sue them for? How have they wronged you in a way any court will agree with?

Forrest is right, you can sue anyone if you have enough money to spend but it is hard like you will win, especially for such a banal reason to sue a huge company like G.

It would be interesting to see a large class action suit against Google. It probably wouldn't stand a chance but they did manipulate the serps and PR on what they think/believe and severely damaged lot of innocent sites. If nothing else it would be a huge PR (public relations) nightmare for them.

So ... you'd like to sue Google because you believe they hand manipulated a system they invented and own in response to the class who would sue them manipulating that same system? And you think that would be bad publicity for them?

I'm waiting on someone like Forbes or the Washington Post to make a move. That would certainly make some headlines.
