What do you mean red? I would think something like politics or religion since there is nothing necessarily to buy like a shop (think digital cameras or computer software) but still lots of people would go online to discuss it.

It's simple. Topics that have a broad (i.e.,international) interest, and lots of websites bidding for Adwords space to get traffic for those topics. Specific topics will generally fall into predictable categories such as Contempoary Entertainment, Hot Products, Human Relationships, Health and Lifestyle, Personal Improvement, Exotic Travel, Business Development and Improvement, Investments, and others. Take your pick.

You can start by looking at your stats pages and see what are some of the kewphrases people use to find your pages. Those should give you an idea about what some niche keywords applicable to your site and within reasonable reach are.

Just kidding. There is no *one* answer to this thread, really. It depends what you like. If you are into music, there are 1 billion people who love music. If you like politics, probably 500 million people are waiting to browse your site. If you are into African safari, probably a market for 100 million people, not a small number nonetheless.

The key is to find the right balance. And most importantly, writing about something you, well, can write about!

 

I think the key to any good site built to generate income is to *think outside the box*. Pick a term that is rarely touched upon but you know that someone is searching for.

Take "furniture porn" or "amish porn" for example.

I would say your best bet is to try and make a website on a topic you have some personal interest or knowledge in.

Too bad britney spears related Adsense ads only pay 5 cents click. You can do well with a 'britnay spears' page or a 'britney spars' page. try misspelling.

 

Niche directory of art specific can help you get more traffic, but not for earning. You can get more traffic from online friends from art, maybe tons of traffic you want.
