I have about 104 parked domains and my biggest frustration is on how to promote them. I have tried adwords, but ended up with a huge bill, and not much returns. Any ideas??

How can you make such a foolish mistake how can you even think of using adwords for parked domains. Dude parked domains do not generate that much income and so it is not worth adwords but i guess you must have figured that out (in reference to your long bill). Now when it comes to promoting parked domains, things are difficult. Actually parked domains are meant to get type-in traffic you are not suppose to actually sit and promote parked domains because first of all they are not worth it and secondly you are not offering anything to your visitors except a bunch of stupid links which inturn turn out to be parked domains. You can try a bit of SEO here and there but still it wont make much difference. So forget about promoting parked domains and make some sort of niche sites on them instead.

As far as parked domains go majority of the traffic is going to be type in. Hope this helps

    Cheers !!!

Most legitimate parking services will ban your account, or delete the name from your profile if they see you are actively trying to drive traffic to your parked domains.

Parked domain traffic is supposed to come naturally, not through promotion. That is why people who are trying to sell their domains do not place live links to them, because it can get you in trouble.

Thanks guys, although i must agree with you on the promotion part. I haven't had a problem with my parking provider so far, so i guess they don't mind. Afterall they are making money as well.
Whats the best way to monetize these domains? I don't wanna develop them into sites cos then that would mean paying for hosting.

you are unethically, and most likely illegally, inflating your traffic stats and parked income by actively promoting these domains.

Who are you parking with? I would love to read their TOS and find where it says you are allowed to promote your names.

    look in my sig

    Create websites in minutes!
    Stop parking your domains!

they have the same templates and you would be in control no TOS.

this way you wont get in trouble promoting your domains.

    Straight from Wikipedia:
"...Domain parking can be classified as monetized and non-monetized. In the former, ads are shown to visitors and the domain is 'monetized'. In the latter, an "Under Construction" or a "Coming Soon" message is put up on the domain. This a single page web site that people see when they type the domain name in a web browser. This is one quick way for getting an Internet presence. Domain names can be parked before a web site is ready for launching.

There are several companies that actively cater to domain name owners and act as middlemen to serve advertisements on parking pages. The parking pages are propagated automatically on a domain owner's web property when they either change the name servers or forward the URL."

I won't enter the ethics of this argument.
