How good are Page Ranks 3, 4, 5? If my site ranks 3 how easy is for somebody to find my site? Thank you, ST
Pagerank3 is ok...Pagerank4 is pretty decent, PR5 has some weight to it. Pagerank6 means your pretty serious (all in my opinion). The higher your pagerank, the higher you will appear in Google. Starting doing some normal SEO to your site and you should appear in search engines somewhat soon.
Where PR might have some weight in SERP, it is not all that. PR has nothing to do with content, page quality, etc. - it is only about links. Hence, SEO will effectively have zero affect on PR. One of my homepages is only a PR3, but I get thousands of visitors a day and rank very well for female celebrity news and many other key phrases for freshdames.com - not because it's a high PR ...
PR is a QUANTITIVE MEASURE of the backlinks you have. It does not indicate the QUALITY of the backlinks. Your SERPs will depend on your Quality of backlinks. If your PR is entirely due to links for related sites, you SERPs would be much better. By Quantity I do not mean the number of backlinks , but the Quantity of PR that the sites pass on to your site.
PR is related with only back link and SERP related with backlink Anchor Text, we should have any confusion regarding that. It may help your visitors.. this key phrase is not competetive and also you have a lot of back-link having anchor text "Female celebrity". So you can find why your SERP is good on your asking key phrase.
female celebrities is more competive and depending on which Google datacenter you're pulling results from, freshdames.com is generally in the top 10, but I'm honestly only seeing this site at #13 right now.
So that means different Google datacenter will have different results? If that is the case, how can we determind which G datacenter to use? Is it by location or randomly selected?
I thought it was the quality as well as the quantity on the back links. One-way links (QUALITY) have more impact on your PR then reciprocal links. if you have chosen to have important keywords as Anchor text...
You could have a 1 page site full of rubbish, buy 1 backlink form a PR8 site with few outbounds and be PR7 at the next update so it isnt really a good or worthwhile measure of anything. As others have said, QUALITY (ie related) links are what are important for SERPS
Keep in mind that the "quality" issue mostly applies to Google though (at least right now). The fact is, you can rank very well in MSN and Yahoo with pure quantity, provided they're from different places (ie: a sitewide may come back to bite you if your site is new).
PR 6 and above is serious PR, to the point where you can make some decent cash selling one way links.
PLs check this thread I hope you will find it interesting http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=44292&page=2
An example: I have a PR5 that gets less than 1 unique a day. I have a PR0 that got about 6000 uniques max in a day and averages 100+ a day.. PR on its own means nothing, as a combination of factors means much more.
Dude worry about traffic, not some green bar. Having said that PR has some relevance, but not as much as it used to. If you want to improve your serps, just get links on similar themed sites, update your site regularly and hope for the best
