Why do people on digital point keep ABUSING turkish people?

Hi there I have noticed alot lately that anything that bad happens in this world or online MOST digital point members start saying things like "I bet its turkish"

And things like we hate them they always hack maybe a small majority of all turkish people hack the rest are fine. I am actually turkish myself and i find this all racially abusive and it should STOP now

You cant judge a whole nation on a few people and these turkish socalled hackers must be much cleverer than you to get past your security

 

I thought it all stopped. Shawn made an announcement.

I think the problem is a quantum time warp that has landed a bunch of people from the 15th century Ottoman Empire into the vortex of Digital Point and they haven't learned anything in 600 years!

The only suggestion I can offer is to try and convince people to look at their similarities instead of their differences and maybe they would start recognizing "neighbors" wherever they are in the world!

Or maybe not. Sometimes it seems like people just don't like people. But that falls back to human nature and the above mentioned similarities.

I can't say I've ever noticed it.

Actually, all Turkish people that I've known and been friendly with here in London (and there a lot), have been really sound - very Westernised and secular (not that been Westernised makes you any necessarily sounder than the rest).

If they allow freedom for Kurdistan I'll give them even bigger thumbs up!

 

I must say that it is worrying. Not only here, but in common lives the Turkish have been labeled as bad and evil. I do not understand why but it's just like that. I live in the Netherlands and this happens too often. I'm not Turkish myself, but i do not understand why people say things like this.

 

Thanks guys i think also the media hasnt helped since the time in football when 2 leeds fans died in Turkey it has been worse than ever

But when they want to go holiday there they love it very hypocritacal

Well everyone in the world is in some way hyprocritical. Thats just the way a human is. I was one summer in Turkey, southern Turkey, it was really nice, kind people. Simple Great.

Well yeah... but Leeds fans... not saying that any Leeds fans deserved what they got... but they were walking on a very thin tightrope for a long, long time before they came to Turkey that year.

It is a fact that most English football fans loath Leeds supporters, and there is a reason for that.

I didnt say I didnt like DP I just said there are afew people on here always saying turkish people are bad when we are not and it sounds to me as you are one of them

That's the problem with cyberspace. You can hide anywhere and say pretty much anything about anyone. It's sad really. I am impartial towards any nationality. Why? Who am I to judge anyone? That's why.
