How to get testimonials

I have written an ebook about how to make money online. And I am redesigning the site. I know that a lot of other people giving away, or selling ebooks include testimonials on their site. I wanted to know how I can also get testimonials written for my site. I currently have 48 subscribers on my mailing list, and usually growing by one or two per day. Should I just send an email to them asking for testimonials? How can I get people to write testimonials. I think that my product is pretty good, and is better then a lot of other products out there.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Give away review copies of your eBook. That way people can give honest reviews and testimonials of it.

Same thoughts...pass on some copies to people on the forum.

Tip-- Look for active members who have more posts, they will definitely give you some good insights on your product.

I have not been very active on this forum, but I can add a testimonial to your product...if it is good;)

    Kyle,

If it is possible to redistribute your product you should include a message at the beginning or end of the eBook asking readers to send in a testimonial if they enjoyed reading it. That way testimonials will constantly be flowing in and you'll always be able to add fresh ones to the list.

Give out free review copies... or just make up fake testimonials...

It is sad but a lot of people just make up testimonials or pay people to simply write positive things about their product. That will probably be the easiest way to get what you want but also it is not completely honest.....

It is definitely not a good advise to fake a testimonials!

Like others, I would suggest you giveaway few copies to to get testimonials! I have done that many times with my niche website.

What I did is that I had a list of buyers that had bought some products from me or through my affiliate links. I then offer these buyers my new book as a bonus to them, in exchange, I asked for testimonials. This works effectively.

I even have buyers that offer not only a testimonial, but a product to be add in as bonus to my package.

btw, I do have a list of subscriber that perhaps can help out, do let me know if you need it, just PM me.

One thing I do is create a testimonial page and post comments with a live link to the person's website. This page is updated reguarly and spidered by the search engines. This gives the person offering me their testimonial a backlink to their site for the future as well.

If someone complains and you're using fake testimonials, the FTC can prosecute you (in the US, anyway).

    Just FYI.

Give away free copies of your eBook in exchange for review.

And send email to these people on mailing list. It is free and maybe you'll get few reviews.
