Do you think Google analytics is helpful?

Do you think Google analytics help you to learn about how to increase your traffic? I think we can make use of our own site cpanel to study these details. What do you think?

 

Anything that provides me more data about my sites is helpful.

Google analytics is a brilliant way to learn how to get more traffic to your site.

 

It is very helpful as a quick, somewhat accurate way of looking at who's hitting your site.

However, the best tool is the server based tools. Unfortunately, my host doesn't allow anything other than the server logs to be used, due to server load.

<edit> As you may know, Google Analytics uses Java script and can be blocked by many browsers, plugins or antivirus software. For this reason, it is not as accurate as the server based tools.

 

well, it can help you analyze where your traffic is coming from, visit duration, and other such things, and if you know how to convert data into knowledge, it sure can help

 

You know, analytics is the way of data review - for some this is more comfortable, the other ones prefer cpanel features. In case, when you use analytics, you can easy change your hosting provider, without loosing any data, so...

analytics gives:

1) nice way of data presentation
2) independence of data collecting from hosting conditions

Google Analytics helps you see who comes to your site, and make Googlebot love your site just a tiny bit more. In my experience Webalizer works perfectly fine for the same task, and I rarely need to include Google Analytics too.

I personally prefer G analytics. it's some feature are really awesome than cpanl analytics or other analytics.
