oOo - I will leave it up to the posters, but I want to see who wins between FW and Photoshop, this is a CS3 only thing, so no studio 8 stuff allowed.

    I VOTE FIREWORKS!!!

    FIREWORKS FTW!

Vote and post though, so i can keep tabs on who is teh winner of teh place :D

I like Fireworks. It's a nice clear lay-out, where everything is easy to the eye. I vote... Fireworks.

Fireworks is best for Web IMO. But for a all around work horse, you can't beat CS3 PS. I must say that I am using the Adobe Fireworks more and more then my dear Photoshop.

Fireworks works best for web design and it's contents but just like quizak said "But for a all around work horse, you can't beat CS3 PS". I am a designer myself and I'm doing different kinds of design solution and I often use photoshop than fireworks.

Fireworks is somewhat less advanced and generally focused for the web as most of you have already pointed out. One advantage of fireworks is that it has traditionally always had better compression for jpegs than photoshop. Although now with both in cs3 versions, i haven't come around to testing that theory. And yet, for everything else - its photoshop!

wow is this even a competition? I've used both, but I find Photoshop a LOT easier to use. Fireworks just isn't as user-friendly as I'd like it to be.

i'd say it's like this: Fireworks for beginners because it's easier to use from my point of view. and Photoshop for those that already know more about graphics and how to use it's numerous features.
