How I made my proxy adsense CTR jump from 2% to 7%

Get a really slow server. When the thing does not go anywhere then people will have nothing to do but look at the other proxy ads on your site and then get fed up and click on one of them. :D

Since I switched to my new server my proxy earnings have doubled. I am torn between leaving it as is or actually trying to fix it. :p

Actually, the problem with that is my other sites on the server don't load either. I just don't have the time to fix it until this weekend.

Until people start bookmarking those other proxies and never visit your time again, with this method you'll slowly watch your earnings and traffic drop. Fix ASAP.

always keep the customers happy mate! Might be good short term, but you want people coming back. I wouldn't pass along a site to my mates if it was slow/didn't load properly.

    Use color rotators or something!

My site changes colour every min! The whole site. Just plugin adsense to rotate with it or something.

True, I didn't do it on purpose. :D I just dished out $180 on a dedicated server from Softlayer and Apache is taking a sh** on me. Webmin and SSH work fine and there is not even that much memory being used. Non PHP pages load just as slow. This has to be an Apache problem.

I had been using Amazon EC2 which was working great. I don't think the server specs are any better so maybe I just better compare the config files on both. I hate Apache.

Short term profit versus long time return visitors...

Yea, fix it and get a better server.

yes, hight adsense ctr probably mean less customer's satisfaction. they might never come back again. i learned the hard way. finally i have to park another domain to get new customers.
