Avoid Google Analytics to stay under radar?

-----DO NOT ASK ME WHAT MY URL OR NICHE IS-------

I have a site that I wish to keep under Google's radar.

I do not break any formal rules with Google. Nothing about the site is against the rules.

HOWEVER, I am starting to rank for a ton of good search terms. My site is done well, but in reality it's merely a glorified phonebook type listing site. It's nothing super great in terms of user value. I just use it to get Adsense clicks.

Do you think it's best to NOT use Google Analytics in order to stay under the radar with Google?

-----DO NOT ASK ME WHAT MY URL OR NICHE IS-------

PLEASE ONLY ANSWER IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, NO NOOBS PLEASE

Answers from knowledgeable people are greatly appreciated.

you only can find the answer by testing. Start 2 websites (same niche), same structure....different content.
Use analytics for one of them, don't use for another.
And, after 6 months you'll have an idea about analytics influence on a website (positive or negative).

Let's put it this way. Google Analytics doesn't really give you any more information than AwStats or any good log file analysis software. Why would you want to share your traffic information with Google if there isn't any benefit to you?

BTW, Googe Analytics is not really a web analytics system. Real web analytics systems provide much more information. You get what you pay for.

My concern is that by using Google Analytics, you're basically saying to Google "Hey look at me! Please check my site by hand and make sure it's not crappy!"

I fear that if Google hand reviewed my site, they wouldn't think so highly of it (even though their SERPs now do think highly of it).

UndercoverSEO you are a cheeky little bugger ain't you?! The first person who tries to help you tell to "get off your post". That's damn rude for a start.

Also once you post a thread on a public forum, it's not really yours anymore.

Red rep winging its way to you.

If you are using Adsense on your website, Google knows all about your site anyway - your logic seems a bit flawed. You are already sending back all visitor information through the Adsense javascript file, its already being tracked and analyzed so it makes no difference what else you add. Why not just add some more content or features to your current pages?

If you want to stay "under the radar" that normally means you are doing something wrong or greyhat so you will get caught eventually.

It is not meant that google analytics is owned by google, they will also personally checked websites that have analytics. Google analytics is a software that tracks your visitors, right? And no software in this world that is 100% bug-free. I think it is a part of analytics bug where your problems fall.

Even if you don't use Analytics Google know a way more information than they give out. Like venturefox said the Adsense scripts sends back a lot of information. As well as this doesn't the Google cookie on peoples computers interact somehow with the adverts that are being shown. Again this is more information that they pick up.

If you want to stay off Googles radar, you would probably want to use a Robots.txt file. But that of course means that they they don't store your content.

I dont see why people are even bothering to give you replies, given your rude response. And its a pretty dumb question to ask, given you say "no noobs" to reply no?
