Thought this might be useful to some. I use it sometimes. http://www.citymayors.com/gratis/uscities_100.html
good one. I've often wondered about city based keyword rich sites and have experimented some. this list looks good
wow. thanks for that great info. this guide will definitely come in handy for me because sometimes when i post in clist, i'd like to have an order to my posting madness. i usually always start with LA since I'm here and then I move over to NYC and Chicago. For some reason, I always forget Houston. thanks
Thanks for the good info. Maybe one day soon I can make my first internet income using it. Like most people using CL I'm spending money buying stuff rather than the other way around. How does one use Internet Marketing techniques make money using CL? Do you sell ebooks? Promote affiliate programns? If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.
Appreciate the link. I too didn't realize the difference in some of the cities' population. The biggest market seems to be for website design services like this: http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/crs/461013769.html Basically, the person placing the ad takes your money, contracts out the work for a percentage to people found in places like DP Website Services Forum. Can be a money maker if that's your type of thing. There's also a lot of people selling e-books from Craigslist, but you have to get them to your landing page and really sell the product well. Good luck!
Toronto is actually the 4th largest city in north america, and craigslist is pretty popular there too.
That's interesting information. For some reason I've never thought to advertise in New York- I usually picture California when I think of Craigslist. But, you also have to consider that the San Fransisco site is the default page. If someone doesn't specify their city, or is new to the site and have never navigated it before, they will be directed to SF. Many people, myself included, advertise on the San Fransisco site because of that.
This is great - thank you! One thing that I have been looking for is a similar list with countries - any thoughts on where to get that?
I agree, but that seems to be very old data from 2003. Isn't it old or am I missing something here???
