    i want to get a graphics software for making banners, logos, flash animations, gif's, glossy images etc, which of the following do u think is the best, alternatively if you know something else which is affordable please suggect!!!:D

    1. Photshop(very very expensive, complicated layout)
    2. Paint shop(still expensive , never really tried)
    3.xara (affordable and suppodisly easy to use)

    I also would recommend Gimp - I use it since my earliest www years

    or if you want to go really professional and use vector graphic formats - then go xara extreme ...!

    I would recommend PS. It does take a while to move around, but in the end, it is way ahead of any other software in terms of features and flexiblity it provides. As suggested @ ZoharBlur, you may consider a 30 day trial before you take the final decision.

    I got my copy of Photoshop through a school discount. If your in school, try talking to your schools CTS Administrator and they may be able to hook you up with a massive discount. It’s how I got a lot of my soft ware including XP.

    try gimp, with the addon that makes the gimp workflow like photoshop.
    gimpshop i think it was called but i dont quite remember.

    GIMP really is excellent. There are many tutorials out there that will show you how to use the program for good results.
