If you want the fastest way to build backlinks... Through forum postings... but don't spam because forums are always moderated. Directory is another way but the hard way because the moderators (editors) of the directory will approve or disapproved it....You will wait for it for weeks to months....
Social bookmarking sites have high PR and can generate high quality backlinks to your site. http://www.masternewmedia.org/news/2006/12/01/social_bookmarking_services_and_tools.htm
Yes, but there are quality SB that is a follow one...like digg and propeller (previously netscape)...
i still think link trading is the best way to go for backlinks. they seem to be the most valuable, in my opinion.
Not many good answers in this forum. Directory links are worthless. Check out the SEO news lately, they've collapsed. Link exchanges are also massively devalued, and can get a site banned for excessive use, as per Google's guidelines. Dnordstrom had the right answer. You need quality content, then you need to share it with people who take an interest in your niche. Any link you're able to build yourself is of little value, and low ROI on your time. Links that other people build for you organically wind up having much more SEO value in the long term, and don't use up your valuable time.
Excellent Reply. Directories are useless, the have very very little weight in seo terms. Building back links is an art, below is a method I use that works out quite well. 1. Find related websites to your content. 2. Offer link exchanges via e-mail (do not use scripts) 3. Place there link first on your site (use the: ref="nofollow" tag) 4. If they link back, guess what.. you got a one-way backlink since the ref tag will keep SE from counting them, and you won't pass on PR to that site as well. Remember, you don't want to seem deceptive, always include the ref tag inside the link BEFORE you submit your e-mail, its up to the webmaster to follow up fully on his link back.
From what I have been reading the best way to get backlinks is quality content. Just be sure the content isn't duplicate, make it your content and you will be offering both your visitors and the search engines something new and something unique.
Here are some easy ways to get backlinks: • Find a relevant discussion forum and post messages on it. • Write an article about your site’s topic and submit it to EzineArticles. • Answer related questions on Yahoo Answers, and provide as your source link pages in your website that address the question asked. • Create Squidoo pages about your site’s topic and link to appropriate pages in your site. • Create a blog at Blogger.com or Wordpress.com (or both!) about your site’s topic and link to appropriate pages in your site. • Find a blog that’s about your topic and post comments to the blog. • Find blogs that are relevant to your topic and send a polite email asking for a review of your site.
Pay for them, if you have the cash or do link exchanges. The best way would be to attract them naturally, which comes with good content and/or a product useful to everyone. If you have tons of cash to spare, consider organizing a large scale contest which requires people to link to your site in order to participate.
