    Hello friends,
    Is there any problem for using 2 anti virus at time in the Windows xp.
    I have going to use Symantech and Casparezki...

    At a time you should only use 1 AV...
    Though you can run them one by one.. with one disable and another enabled.

    I've done that in the past without any problems.

    You shouldn't need two though - one good one will do ;)

    I currently run 2 at the same time with no apparent problems, those being NOD32 and AVG, on XP.

    yeah shouldnt be any problem running the two - if you havent had any warning about it through your system already then it should be cool.

    Just because you see no problems doesnt mean there isnt any, running 2 anti virus isnt a good idea ! They can interfere with each other and give false results.

    You just need a good one, like NOD32 for the life of me i cant see why someone would use nod32 then put avg on as well ! Nod32 is better and more capable of doing the job than avg.

    The thing is that the majority of anything that is detected is usually by AVG.

    Kaspersky alone will work fine. Or AVG. Or Nod32. or ClamAV.

    They are the only DECENT options for anybody.

    Avoid McAfee and Norton like the plague.

    It is a good ideea to have more than one antivirus, BUT it's recommended to have only one running at start-up and protect you in real-time.
    You should use other antivirus programs you've installed for a full scan of your system from time to time. [ monthly, bi-monthly ]
    You can use, for example, NOD32 to protect you in real time and other 2-3 antivirus software [ AVG, RAV, etc ] for a full scan at the end of each month.
    Notice: There are known antivirus programs that won't even install if they detect the presence of other installed antivirus, so be carefully what antivirus combination you use.
    There are also antivirus programs that won't give you a warning message about a possible incompatibility with other software you've installed, and, the next time you try to Boot, you will have a surprise: Windows won't boot because of that !

    It slows down your computer when it scans. You really need only one: AVG.
    It should be sufficient.

    It's like inviting trouble using more than one antivirus app. One can make the other/whole system crash.

    You can't run with 2 anti viruses at 1 time. You must delete one of them. They will conflict and maybe they will end up not protecting your computer.

    Some might conflict, but the majority of virus scanners don't. I personally use f-prot. Its really low resources and it has a driver level definition scanner that scans files as they are read into memory, which is the most secure method in my opinion.

    Only it may slow your computer down a little bit.. useing that much extra resources and processing power to run 2.. Id never run 2 on mine heck i dont even run 1 because my pc is so old and slow..
