Received Wrong Infraction for Masking My Own Website

I have received two infractions consecutively due to the fact that I masked links to my own site on Stumble Exchange Thread.

Instead of posting:

"Please stumble me back http://www.mysite.com"

I posted:

"Please stumble meback http://tinyurl.com/1111"

If anybody follow that link they will know that it's not leading to any affiliate sites, it's leading to my own site.

The reason why I masked it: So that SU don't instantly find my sites listed in the Stumble Exchange thread (just in case they are cracking against it someday).

I have read the sticky thread and I couldn't find where I went wrong since the links weren't pointing to any affiliate links (heck it was my own sites and has always been my own sites).

Nest time, contact a mod privately about this.

Also, if your posting liks hidden, it seems using affiliate links, thats the reason, and they don't have enough tme to investigate unless someone requests that.

 

Just a tip for the mods to check if the tinyurl link is an affiliate link or now.

Add 'preview.' between http:// and the url. So like http://tinyurl.com/1111 becomes http://preview.tinyurl.com/1111 and you'll be able to check what link does it lead to .

 

Felu, thanks for the tip, I didn't know about that.
I'll be adding the preview link each time I post my own tinyurl link.


@inworx: I have contacted Smyrl but received no response. Looks like the mod who has given me infraction never care that he might have made the wrong decision.
