I have explained the meanings and benefits of 8 main colors. Knowing about the meanings of colors can help your brand, help your advertisement conversion rate or reduce bounce rates. After giving the meaning and benefits of each color I give a real-world example in the form of an image illustration.

Damn good article, and spot on. Nice pictures, by the way.

I too think colors are very important. I've spent a lot of time picking out just the right colors for my site.

Great, now I sound gay. I think I'll go curtain shopping tonight after I get my nails done.

    Black, however....bleah. :p

I'm glad you like the article. Perry, I put a lot of effort into finding perfectly suitable images so I am glad you like them! I was trying to make my images act as real-world examples rather than eye candy. :p

Very nice read. Thanks for the link :)

As a note Green is great to use as your point of action. For example if you have an ecommerce store with a predominantly blue design, making the add to cart buttons green can have a HUGE effect on conversions.

    Thanks again :)

Perry, yellow is actually an attention grabbing color, blue is the color which relaxes. ;) I think the yellow/bikini focuses attention well.

    Nice contribution tony.

Yellow can be good, if it isn't a lot. With some colors, too much is just too much.

    Your article is really nice!

Let me share some of my knowledge about color marketing in terms of running a website:
    http://www.skalfa.com/press/site-templates-colors-of-success.html

This article contains information on how users tend to react to certain colors and color combinations, and what colors will suit best for your online community site (depending on what goals you want to achieve).
