What is the value of .edu links?

I am wondering the value and effectiveness of being linked with .edu sites. In your opinion are they worth it and how much value do they possess?

 

Edu and org links greatly affect on the sites as they are being accepted by most of the search engines. Edu and org links from blogs and forums I can make on your behalf and through which you will possess a great to achieve regular unique visitors and tracking your SERS.

An .edu page in itself does not offer any more benefit than any other top level domain. I've written about this, with full reasoning:

Since edu and gov sites have great value.A backlinks from them may cost better in SEO.

 

You could have made a search for this as it has been asked a number of times on DP. Anyway, according to Matt Cutts, .edu dont carry any special weight.

~ But, since these sites are generally well developed and established so a link from em will do good.

 

Ok listen don't get all caught up on edu links . The reason there big "talk" about the edu links for is because generally edu links are good because they come from high authority sites such as colleges and etc, but then again there is just as good as .com links so don't let the .edu confuse you.

Learn to evaluate links on your own and don't get all caught up on the edu and etc.

there is not special importance of edu links

 

EDU link would ONLY benefit you if the link is on a page having good content and high PR. u not only get benefit of having an authority link but also get benefitted from its high PR.

however, there's a lot of hype about getting EDU links for some time now and lot of scammers out there are taking advantage of it selling EDU links on some studen blog/sites. since those student sites don;t usually have any PR of its own and do get deleted after some specific period of the student graduating, they don;t do you any good.

in a nutshell - they are just like any others and no one should get caught up with this too much

There really is no more value than any other link. If it is of related content, then you will likely benefit.

 

.edu links do not have any more link juice than .com links.
