Gmail is getting very much better nowadays, now with more features added including view rss feed as web clips, view .doc and .pdf attachments as html web page and displays addresses and tracking number on the right.

But their spam filters suck. You cannot even set your own OE type rules and I often get 500 emails with the exact same text and subject. My geriatric and retarded cocker spaniel can spot this as SPAM but gmail can't.

I would like to have a "notes" section, I end up with 500 drafts because I use them for noting stuff.

Gmail's spamfilters are so near darn perfect as to make you feel like a human is reading your email and sorting it for you.

You can save as many drafts as you want. Just click 'save now' and it will save it as a draft.

Unfortunately, not in my case. I've acquired several sites over the last year and have therefore inherited hundreds of email addresses that other people have been using over the years. Think you've got problems with SPAM for one? LOL, Try SPAM for 100. I redirect all of these email addresses to one gmail address and I guess a large part of the SPAM gets caught but I'm surprised at what gets through! They are usually dead giveaway SPAM that the simplest algo should pick up.
