Yes if your at 60 percent you should be doing ok. Our bounce rate goes up and down. Better yet if you can hit 40 percent your doing fabulous work.

My average is around 50% - Tbh, I didn't realise what it meant until very recently, but it turns out, it's always been low.

    50 percent should be fine.

If your offering services focus on your ROI (return on investment) and similar things to that nature.

A Bounce occurs when a website visitor leaves a page or a site without visiting any other pages before a certain session timeout elapses.

If you get less than 35% bounce then your traffic must be very relevant to your site, which is fantastic. That's what it's all about : targetted traffic.

This is something I've learned with running a directory: they get a lot of traffic but the quality of traffic is rubbish. It's all SEs and people submitting - there's a surprise.

Bounce rate tells you how many visitors "bounce" off your website (entry page). Using Google Analytics, keep an eye on the bounce rate from different sponsored campaigns, the lower the number the better. If your new with Google Analytics - make sure you check out the conversion university.

it is good indication of how good your site is. 50% is good but try to make it somewhere around 30-40%. then you should work to get at least 2 pageviews for 50% of your visitor. it is just a target. so don't expect to get those numbers in a short time.

Bounce rate tells you how important or how good your site is depends on the visitors activity within the site.. The lower the bounce rate the better (less than 60% is good enough)

Ideally if your bounce rate is over 35% you need to look around what is that you can tweak on your site , you need to change elements around, put them up and pull them down, see how can you engage more people .

If you have a 60% bounce rate , make some changes until you bring that number down to 40% ,that means you have increased the number of page views by a good chunk , which should result in change on the $$$ end as well .
