    Hi

Right now my blog pages are set at the default permalink, like this:

    http://www.freshgeeks.com/?p=18

Should I change it to another structure? If so, which one? Thanks in advance :D

In case any of your old posts have been indexed by Google, do a 301 redirect so that all requests for the old URL will be redirected to your new form.

    To answer your questions:

    /%year%/%category%/%postname%.html

I think this is what you are looking for. Now don't say I didn't help.

When using the %postname% ( post title) you may want to use the post slug to shorten the URL of your post.

I believe it's wise to include the title of the post in the permalink, and at least a keyword in the title, so you get "keyworded URLs", which has to be good for SEO.

This is not that easy though, because there is a problem with indexing all the links to search engines. You have to do a 301 Redirect. There are Wordpress plugins that help you.

On my blog I use the permalink structure year/month/post title. It's fantastic and I think, the way to go. Organized and search engine friendly.

However, if you change them you'll lose all your search engine positions and backlinks. If you MUST change them, do a redirect so anyone who comes across the old links will be taken to the new ones. There are plugins for this, just Google them. :)
