Adult site review?

Hi,

Im not sure if this is allowed but it would be great to get peoples opinion on the layout and scheme of my adult site.. Its only early days as im now slowly building up the content..

Its heavily affiliated with an adult afilliate but i needed to scrape there content as i didnt like there website design.

Anyway any comments will be appreciated..

It doesn't bother me, but I'm not sure if everyone else will appreciate the "adult" nature of your site. Good luck though! I know there is a lot of money in that industry.

 

I can't really review this site unless I receive free membership to truely do a complete review of your website

 

I understand bout peoples views on adult content.

I have a goal of owning several high profile websites, and on my road to owning these sites i need to start somewhere.

In my opinion it was a completely strategic move. I started by researching what the best type of websites to start with was from a
1) content provider source - numerous sites with content to link too
2) had good afilliation - seeing as i wanted to learn about ALL facets of affilliation, and not superficially
3) good example of other sites - there are numerous other adult sites that ,despite there content, rank in the top sites of the web!
4) had a huge demand for - its easy to tell when your site design works or not, if the user stays awhile then youve got a good balance of content and design!
5) had a very low entry point for adverts in the adsense/overture networks - i set myself a steep learning curve for the adsense/adwords and overture products

An adult site came out on top for all of them..

Just so that you know im also doing another 3 sites in parallell, 1 on fashion another on flash games and the last on tourism in sydney. Im not a pervert, HONESTLY !

I like the design and the interesting pictures

 

Nice layout so I'll go into a standards issue:

You've got a grouping of inline styles that is after the body tag.

1) Put it before the body tag.

2) Put these in your default.css or in another external CSS.

Fairly tame front page (as far as images), which I honestly think is for the best.

I muys say appears a adult site from a very technical person. Design is like a professional site and not shouting load for blah... blah.... blah.....

But i think, it may not suit a typical profile of person frequenting adult sites
who may have different expectations from first page itself

As for the user acceptance of this..

The previous version of this site had alot of "in your face" graphics. And it was pulling in 1-2 new members a day, with weekends pulling in 2-3 new members. Old site was VERY GRAPHICAL, which is un understatement! Looked like most adult sites out there!

I moved to this new look last weekend and ive been averaging 5-6 sign ups a day, with the past saturday pulling in 8 members

So far the people like the look, the straight catalogue page gets the most views and signups!

With a classier looking site - as opposed to a trashy one - I think you can expect more respect from people (since you respect them more) and a broader range of users.

Good decision to make the move away from 'slamming you in the face'.

 

I like it (the site design) and the main page is a whole lot better than most adult sites you see. It's still porn but done with taste (no pun intended) Kinda like a gentlemans club rather than a strip joint. I would call it upscale porn

Your website http://www.liquidloungeAO.com has or is using the same layout concepts as http://www.smh.com.au/ - considering smh.com.au is a rather large newspaper website... It might be noticed.

 

I think I'm going to have to review it a couple more times!
