Anyone Not Lost Traffic Due to Apparent MS Change ?

Discussion in 'Bing' started by fornews, Oct 15, 2007.

I've read a few threads and it seems pretty certain that MS has changed
something, assume their algorithm, that is affecting a lot of site traffic.
Ok, granted MS traffic was a smaller portion of overall traffic previously
but now it appears to be worse then ever.

    I'm wondering why...

Is this MS trying to beat Google and Yahoo ?
I do display AdWords on my site but no MS advertising; could this be it ?

As at least one other has commented, and I would concur, I'm not about
to change my site to suit MS and risk losing Google but it would be good
to know why just in case a change that would help MS traffic might
    also help Google traffic.

I have not seen any less traffic in last few weeks so it might be something on your site.

Would you mind sending me your URL so I can take a look ?
Either something I'm doing or your not doing must be the cause.

My traffic really spiked, then returned to normal. So, I guess I am on the other end of your spectrum.

Well I was getting traffic from MS (although very little) but what ever MS did to there algorithm, it blew me right of there map .
I am not even indexed anymore...
I emailed them last week but have not received a reply as of yet.. I guess time will tell.
I was dropped on 3 oct.

In the past week with msn I went from 1rst in my keyword to not even being in the top 10 pages for my home page. Although I still have other pages ranked highly by msn. Have not made any changes in homepage, they had to make drastic changes in algorythem.

October 2nd was where I got the hit, my traffic dropped by 90% and i was also ranked #3 on competitive keywords and now i am no where to be found, i was ranked #3 for a few months. I am still on the first page of google and yahoo but could use a couple of hundred uniques a day from live and msn; anybody know what is going? nothing was changed on my site, I just built more back links....anyone think server configuration could have done something, i know the only thing i did on my server was disable the FTP service, i know that sounds crazy but i am just trying to find an excuse.....
