    I've seen this a few years ago. What about those ears eh? The teeth are kinda scary and if this was for real it would have been autopsied and be front page news all over the world. Good fun though

    Looks like a funny prop. Depictions of mermaids usually do not make sense from a biological perspective, and this "thing" is no different. It would struggle to swim through the water with those scrawny arms and small fins on its head. The fins along its side would also suggest it swims in a sideways position. This would make navigation awkward, as it has human-like eyes that are close together and would only be able to see in one direction, which would be sideways. The mouth suggests that this beast would eat mostly animals rather than plants, but with a small opening and no evidence of a jaw that can be unhinged, catching and eating prey in the ocean would be a very difficult task.
