My site was slumbing. Going from #9 and on to second page alot. I got about 10 PR Links mostly PR6 and some 7's and now my site is #4 on the 1st result page within only few days.
So get those PR backlinks, give your site a major energy boost in the serps.

Before this thread gets crammed with disillusioned dittoheads claiming 'PR doesn't really matter it's the SERPS' it's nice to see someone getting it.

Congrats, and this is the reason Google is trying to ban people from selling PR. The other stuff is important too, but it's backlinks and the weight of those backlinks. Google shows the weight in PR as others do not.

Hope you shoot for #1 as long as you're not in my niche.:D

couldnt agree more, i only care about pr when it comes to new sites trying to negotiate reciprocal backlinks...webmasters wont link with you unless you got decent pr numbers...

Yup, I was getting tired of putting PR0 backlinks here and there. They weren't doing jack. So I tried out this PR thing, and it worked like a charm. Btw, anyone know when google updates the PR, eheh? I'm curious I ranked my site is now. It has 1,300 Backlinks! (according to Yahoo! Links)

No actually I got them for free. I have the SEO firefox plugin. And I have bad habit now of checking the PR of every site I go to. I was lucky enough to stumble across this Site with some PR6 PR7 pages where you can post a comment on it leave your Link.

I am not 100% sure. But I know some sites which have links from PR7/8 pages and they have excellent PR and SERPs.

So - I take it that, G algo has something for links-juice from no-follow links as then they would think that the link is genuine:eek:

With all the paid links debate, I would assume that Google is giving more weight to no-followed links than followed links now.:D

We should always think ahead of Google.

Yea I've noticed a lot of the SERPs for my keyword is being fueled by PR backlinks, there's no way they can be doing so well with so little content / relevance.
