I was looking around, and couldn't find any free large submit sites. So if it calls for it, i'm willing to spend a little to make a little. So could someone possibly refer me to a place that does large # of submits to directories and websites for a good price?
dmoz.org is a large directory that is free to submit but I suspect you posted in the wrong forum. Offering to pay for listing in dmoz.org will get you banned forever, but I don't think that was your intention. You should ask a moderator to move this thread to the correct forum.
my lord, I was asking for free or pay-for sources that you can submit a URL to so it will index it into everything for you. I was just sick of continously filling out forms and confirming emails for every search engine and directory. So far I still anit found one. So if anyone has any sources that they go to, It'd be apperciated. Also, i'd rather not use dmoz.org, I hear their flooded with issues for their directory right now anyhow.
DMOZ is a good place to try since it is free. Yahoo is a very expensive one but many people say it is good to try eventhough you may loose money for nothing.

Eric Ward is a writer for Search Engine Land and is also a Professional Link Builder. He could possibly get you listed into several larger directories, including DMOZ. However, do NOT bribe him, or your site will get banned. You need to pay for his services as a link builder, and if applicable, a DMOZ listing should be included. Though it is IMPORTANT that you do NOT bribe him! By his own word, he will not bother with the little no-name sites. Only the ones that give something of worth, so you'll likely need to pay for that. btw - Q failed to add that the guy has one cat in ODP and can't actually list your site in ODP (unless it's specific to his category) any more than you can... so you are actually paying for his SEO skills, not a guaranteed listing in Dmoz like Q has indicated all over the boards. [Pardon the Q-kid, he's enthusiastic but refuses to do his homework, lol.] That said, any SEO that gets kudos from guys like Matt Cutts and Danny Sullivan is probably gonna have skills worthy of hire, and now he even has an unpaid (if slightly dense) shill here to hawk his work. Gotta love how the net works.
Maybe he's paying me to stir the pot? Indeed! I never guaranteed a listing, and only suggested that his SEO skills were worthy of being looked into. I also made it clear that bribing him would result in a banned site. Have I done anything that Eric Ward has not done? Have I made any claims that would suggest that a listing was promised? Have I stooped lower then the standards of the ODP?
Just trying to make sure you didn't leave an incorrect impression. That happens occasionally when one offers expertise they don't actually have. Playing ODP expert based on 27 edits (9 of which were on your own sites) is a thin qualification for the elder statesman role you've adopted.
I'd say thanks for correcting me, but you did not correct anything, other then to show you have a like for personal attacks. I have not said anything that was untruthful within this thread. I've never made it a secret that I am an ex-editor, or that I never had a lot of edits. It's certainly kind of you to keep pointing it out though, especially when I've posting nothing that has not been stated by long standing editors. It seems the little novice in me is saying the exact things that an editor that's been there for ten years is saying, and in fact what you are saying... that paying a link building specialist is well within the guidelines of the site. Would these things be any more true if an editor said them who had thousands of edits? I do not think so, as a truth is a truth, and even someone who has never been an editor could not have changed that. Being an SEO is perfectly fine as an editor. And who better to help get into the ODP then a elder statesman, who just happens to be an SEO specialist.
Q - Just trying to point out that the guy has ONE cat with a few subcats in dmoz, and unless he's being engaged by his competition (whom he has added) you are making it sound like he's taking money for adding sites to dmoz, which he isn't, and in fact *can't*. The fact that you had few edits at dmoz is pertinent because you are wandering around feigning expertise where none exists and giving incorrect info in the process. Now quit trolling please.
Flaming? Naah, just telling the truth. Sorry if it gets a little warm when they find the "ex-editor" casting doubt on other's integrity personally made a third of all his edits on his personal sites. The truth CAN be a real pain.
