Can someone please recommend something good? I'm using a 3 year old version of a paid WS_FTP and it's having huge problems with breaking the connection of uploads, and other quirks...

If you are using firefox, just get fireftp, its great because it works with firefox, I have used cuteftp and other ones, but none have been as good as fireftp.

I've been running coreftp for a while now and have been liking it. I had issues with smartftp and filezilla so I moved to coreftp.

I like SmartFTP with its Sync Navigation feature where the local and remote browsers syncs when switching directories.

I would recommend against using fireftp as it just adds more bloat to firefox. In the little bit of testing I did to the extension it would slow down firefox dramatically when installed. It might have been fixed, but there was a massive memory leak in the plugin that caused Firefox to eat up nearly all available RAM.
