phproxy wont work with youtube. You'd need to add the modifications to make youtube videos play. However, most people don't bother as it will use loads of bandwidth and not add any monetary value...

Well, I have 3000 GB sitting idle anyways on shared hosting, so I thought I might as well utilize it.

I mean $1 for each proxy. So $30 proxies a day.

 

it is possible still but it will just take more work and more time

and also maybe a bit of paid advertising to help it getting started up etc but its very possible

well basically set them up (1 hour)

submit to asmany proxy.org style topsites you can find, ones where the top position is rotated (hour or 2)

create a proxy yahoo group and add the subscribe form on your proxys (1 hour)

If you do that you will be on about $5 + a day for 30 proxies if you use adbrite and adsense. e.g. monetize the proxified pages

What script do you recommend for maximum profit, and how much does the domain name matter?

IE: ****proxy.info vs random.info

 

phproxy would be the best

just get a template from freeproxytemplates.com

And dont use proxy in the domain as some places block all domains with the word proxy in

Yes phproxy has been discountinued but the creator left it in a working version. It could still be used but only thing you need to do is download it from sourceforge.com someone has already posted the link some pages back.

 

I wrote a blog post regarding getting started in the proxy business. Pretty basic for people already in the business but informative for those who want to start (like tushardhoot1). You can find it on Kiloserve Blog.

They are tips I picked up from this thread, from other people's website (e.g. techentrance) and from my experience and I will be adding more stuff that is spread around this thread like hotlink protection code.

I've still got the templates from www.phproxythemes.com if anyone is interested. (I can't resell them though)

By the way, when I had my network, I had a static HTML page with all my proxy links on them, and provided an emailing list - proved to be very popular and $$$

 

I looked at that site a few times before and could never find any templates just that homepage thing

 

The seller/creator/skin designer had her templates ripped/re-sold and a new owner took over. The templates were really nice (that's why I bought a membership). I'll have to get in contact with the new owner to see if I can re-distribute them

 

Can you tell me which advertisement solution pays you higher for image ads, I mean 2 to 3$ per 1000 page impressions for proxy pages
