Running an absolutely custom design for the pligg social bookmarking script.

I started to market this site as a social bookmarking site for bloggers! A great idea but one of my other sites started to take off and I completely abandoned it. So traffic is minimal, less than 100 uniques per day.

No revenue - I have NEVER put ads on the site.

Based on the work I put in, the custom design + logo I paid for, and of course this premium domain. (I've had offers in the past up to $300 for the domain before I even built the site.)

No PR yet, I launched the site as a hobby project (hence no ads) after the last PR update so it's waiting for the next one.

Like I said in the original post traffic is not even worth taking screenshots of right now. Less than 100 uniques per day.

Value is based on of course the domain, the design and all the setup work already being done for you.

 

I moved some things around in the original post due to confusion.

This is an auction so there IS a starting bid if you're interested in getting it a bit lower than the BIN and don't wanna snatch this up right now.

 

I find the starting bid a little high for this blog but still want to make an offer of $200. thanks.

Custom (exclusive) designs for pligg start at around $900 and peak at $1500 because of the difficulty in creating them. So I'll pass on your offer but thank you.

 

Can you please explain how the site works in practice?

Are all the posts in the blog submitted by visitors?

 

I have only about 20% of the blog posts right now being submitted by users. That's because I don't promote the site at all.

The rest of the submissions are auto submitted by the site itself via cron job subscribed to various RSS feeds.

If you market the site it should do well since you are giving bloggers free backlinks without the nofollow on them. Just need to get the word out and they'll come Especially if they see you are promoting it seriously and it has a nice design.

 

I'll run this for 48 more hours.

Ahh ok might be duplicate content.

New owner can just discontinue the auto posting from RSS feeds and resubmit via google webmaster tools.
