Wanted to get PR-5 What can i do now?

hello all
I started a good website.I want to make it to PR-5....what all do i need to do?
-Please tell me when the next PR-update will be taking place?(is it April-2008)
-If so what i need to do to get the required PR
-I don't wanted to buy too many PR links
-My content is above average
-Please tell me the total steps to achieve this GOAL

 

Bear in mind, there is no short cut to get a good page rank. You have to spend minimum of 1 year to get a page rank 5.

For this start link building, optimize content, optimize page design, include your site in google webmaster central, include your site in yahoo site explorer, regularly ping your site with ping services, forum posting, make a site map with frequently updated content and submit to search engines, submit your site and pages to bookmarking sites......... the list is endless. Also DP have many information about seo.

There is no short cut. Forget the page rank 5 thing now and think about page rank 3. Achieve it within 6 months, then achieve page rank 5 in next 6 months........ All the best.......

Pop3, if you can find some sites with high PR (5,6,7) that will link back to your website, after the next google pagerank update your site probably will reach PR 5. But vvtv gave you some useful tips to follow.

Its better not to worry much on PR. I would suggest you do work for getting some keywords on first page. That way you would start getting good traffic as well as PR will follow.
And you may already know PR has nothing to do with your ranking on search results. Good luck with your new venture.

 

Pinging means, you are notifying google, yahoo, technorati etc. sites that you have got new content and visit and index it. Sites like http://www.pingomatic.com does this. When you enter your site details such as site name, feed name (rss, atom) Pingomatic notifies the sites in their list that your site got new content. Pinging is done automatically or manually. I have a feeds.php file. I regularly visits pingomatic and pings my site.

 

I dont agree with your theory. I got Pr 5 in less than 1 and half month. Achieved Pr 6 in 3 months. So nothing is impossible.

However writing great content is the first step. Dont jump to building links. Its a step-wise process. If you write good stuff, people will automatically link to you.

I suggest stay away from buying links. Eventually with the new algo, google might discount them altogether. Why waste money? Again, natural linking is always better than paid links, since its more relevant.

Agree with Godmode.. also had some pr 6 in 3 months. Not impossible. Quality and related backlinks are important.

To get PR 5 totally you must get 4000 backlinks. I think it will take atleast 5 - 6 months to get that many backlinks. You must work very hard to get that many backlinks. For every 3 months PR will be updated. I think jan 2008 pr will be updated.

 

Godmode, that was amazing. But how much you spend for achieving pr 5-6 ? Seo, link building, directory submissions, bookmarking, content writing etc. ??

It cost me nothing, but only time and hardwork. A single cent not spend for getting me page rank 5.

 

you must find pr5+ backlinks if you want pr5 . you must check the sticky thread on this forum to find the answer of your other questions

 

Ya, ok. But I believe in random pr linking strategy. In this pr linking method, pr 0 sites also included. In short, I will not often link to same pr sites, or higher pr sites. Instead I will link to 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 sites randomly.

Dont know why, this works for me.

 

Try submitting in social bookmarking site and article directories with high page rank , you're ranking will automatically improve .
