Any ideas on earnings if I put affiliate link here?

Okay, I'm not sure if this is worth doing or not. I currently only use adsense on this site.

Since some of the articles dont get much traffic I just used adsense across the full site. I am considering swapping adsense for affiliates on some of the articles that get more traffic.

For example, this article gets 75 uniques per day, its 100% organic search engine traffic, all for people searching for things like "detox your body" etc.

So I am looking at roughly 500 uniques/week reading the article. Does anyone have any figures or guesses at how many people are likely to click through onto an affiliate placed at the end of this article, or likely conversions? Just trying to work out if its worth even testing it or not. Or if anyone has an affiliate scheme that fits in with this pm me and maybe we can try it.

    thanks

there are tons of detox products on the market. Find a popular one with an affiliate program that pays decently.

The guys who succeed in affiliate marketing are the ones who constantly experiment and try new things. In the time you wrote that post you coulda integrated an aff offer into the end of your article like you were talking about.

Agreed, I could have. Just wanted some feedback before I even bothered to try it, to see if its worth doing.

I cant switch off adsense on a single article, I need to turn it off site-wide, so just wanted to hopefully get some figures on likely clickthroughs/conversions to see if its possible to make more with affiliates on a few articles than it is with adsense on them all. I'm going to look for an affiliate tonight and give it a try. I've already got a clickbank account so most likely I'll try and find one from there.

Based on my experience, you'll make more money putting up affiliate links to the same offers that the guys advertising on your site with adsense are pushing.

This isn't always the case. Definitely worth a try though. If I'm choosing adsense vs. offers, 80% of the time I'll go with my own affiliate links.

From my experience, article directories have mainly info seeking traffic rather than ready to purchase ones. It depends on the individual article whether it does a good job of pre-selling too so its a lot of unknowns and not really good enough to build a reliable income off.

Actually I am doing experiments on a similar thing on my article directory, you can check on the progress on the link in my sig under affiliate journal.

It is hard to know how much you would earn. I would also recommend that you test things out. If you don't try it then you would have never known how well they would have performed for you.
