[DMOZ BLOG] Why Hasn't My Site Been Accepted Into DMOZ?

RZ is not official, that's true, but it is sanctioned and guided by the meta community and admins. Just in case a well intentioned editor, like myself, needs to be corrected for something he says, or clarification is needed.

The Blog is official and operated by AOL staff, including our Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Keating. You'll notice that everything that's been said so far, is the same exact things we've been saying over and over again at RZ.

The reason for that is because no matter where it's said, the answers are the same. Anyone who expected a different answer to the same questions and comments, are probably going to be disappointed.

I speak only for myself, not the ODP.

If I do something I need to be booted for, and they don't boot me, I'll boot myself. Nobody is above the rules, not even metas. Hell, this isn't my life, it's fun and rewarding, but it's just a hobby, nothing more, .

I have no websites and I have no afilliations. In fact I resigned as an editor not that long ago and was asked to come back, which I did.

And that is the reason that DMOZ blog is just a joke that is made up to cover some of the stinks. BS is BS, no matter if you call it RZ forum or DMOZ blog.

 

I certainly don't speak for staff, and won't repeat internal communications, but these people are smart and serious about making long overdue changes in the ODP. It most certainly isn't a CYB crew of people, .

The only thing that they can be serious about is how to fine a new way to make money out of DMOZ.

Answers at the blog are the same as at RZ it because we didn't make up a brand new set of guidelines before they implemented the blog.

Heck Gworld, the greatest contribution the blog will make is giving staff get a regular opportunity to interface with certain frequent trolls. Could facilitate some changes I hope to see.

if you are not an editor or did not pay to an editor, it's difficult to be inside dmoz.

Talk about feelin good, the last site I listed was submitted with a proper title and description, all I had to do was look it over and list it. Ahh, if only they were all that easy, I'd be listing a hundred a day easy.

 

Most of my nine deeplinks got into DMOZ with minimal changes to description - benefit of having boring website.

 

From your very mouth I tell you that you are defending paedophile sites if you are an ODP editor and if you know of such sites and don't report them you are responsible for those sites as much as the person who creates the sites.

Are you editor or not then we can answer if you defend paedophile sites and corruption.
