Has anybody else created this type of website?

    Hey there,

I started creating a freelance website.

After a few months I got thinking, what could I do different than other freelance programming websites?

So one thing I thought of is why not offer out-of-the-box packages as well? That way people wont have to wait for custom software to be built.

So a few more weeks later, I got thinking, why not allow packages to be auctioned as well?

So my question is has anybody created a freelance programming website that offers custom software, prepackaged software, and software auctions?

I know there are individuals sites that offer these things, but are there websites that offer a combination?

Eventually, a freelance programming website could also offer hosting.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

Freelancers will find it harder to get work if the pre-packaged software is cheaper than they'd charge thats my only concern. Clients don't always know what they want or need.

    Hey there,

Well, my thinking about that issue is this..

I expect buyers to purchase out-of-the-box software, with exclusive rights.

Then, if they want modifications, they can use the custom software method to advance it even further.

For generic software, out-of-the-box solutions can be great. Custom software can be even better if they do not mind waiting for it to be developed.

I think it will be neat to get all these features under one website.

    Sincerely,
