Microsoft Live SERP Drop

I was ranking quite well in SERP for two of my websites in my signature in MSN Live for my targetted keywords. This last week I dropped from #1 position to about #18 for one site, and above 100 for the other.

Does anyone know what happened? This is real strange since I've been making substantial inroads in SERP for both Google and Yahoo.

I don't think that's the problem. Having too many backlinks will never be a "sin"

How old is the domain name? If it's brand new, you can expect erradic rankings.

    Hey there,

I agree that having to many backlinks is never a sin.

However, you should be careful at the rate you get those backlinks.

I heard google keeps track of the rate to which you get backlinks, and may devalue your links if you increase your rate too fast.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

I think it would be favorable if you get active and relevant backlinks.
