I'm thinking about using CMS software such as Joomla or Mambo for an upcomming website. I was wondering if anyone knows what is the best CMS software out there that is the most search engine friendly.(and can link to references showing this is true.) Anyone here know of any highly ranked websites using a CMS software and can show me? Thanks.
No CMS really comes with inbuilt SEO, they all tend to require a plugin. I've used Joomla before and its very good. Drupal also seems to be popular although personally I havent really used it very much. Wordpress is great too. I know its a blog platform but it can still be used for a site. I use it for my noddegamra one
I think the best would undoubtedly be WordPress as it has lot of plugins and tweaks which gives a boost to its features, usability and accessibility.
That is right....! WordPress is the best. It is not only a blogging platform but also CMS now a days it is rated is the best.
Thanks for your responses all. I don't mind doing SEO on my own, I am not exactly looking for software with automated SEO stuff. But I am wondering since many CMS use dynamic content, it could actually hurt my SEO goals instead of actually acheiving them. I keep hearing that Wordpress is the best blog software that is SEO compatible, I'll have to take a look at that, the thing is that I want to create a website for a client that is fully optimized, and from then on they can add their own pages and content making it even better. I would like to add something like a shopping cart...I'll have to take a look at wordpress I guess to see it's full features maybe it can be modded into something. I was hoping one of you would say Joomla because that was a look and feel I was really aiming for.
i am using Moveabletype as CMS for some of my clients which i beleive is better than wordpress.. although i like wordpress too... all of my implemented sites are very seo friendly and on top 5 ranking for major financial keywords..
Just a quick highlight; WordPress is not considered as a CMS. It is a blogging engine and lacks basic CMS features (though they can be implemented by using or creating a plug-in) such as Indexing content by topic/category. However I also happen to find it quite SEO friendly, using tags can be a great thing (UTW & SEO Title Tags plugins comes to mind). Hack around!
I'm using both WordPress and Drupal. My two cents.. If it's only going to be a blog - use WordPress. If it may expand to more than a blog - use Drupal.
lots of people seem to set up wordpress blogs and then discover they can't have adsense or any other ads. Is it right that if you have a VIP account with them they'll allow adsense? If so, how much does it cost?
drupal = cms wordpress = blogging software but can be customized for simple cms joomla = I don't know why I don't like it, use it couple of times but never beats drupal and wordpress in terms of SEO.
Wordpress and Drupal!!! I am a big drupal fan i love looking at the sites that are made with this powerful CMS
