While I agree that a lot of the posts here aren't helping anything, I also believe there's a system in place for this kind of thing... If you feel these posts are just to raise their post count, or the post doesn't contribute anything to the thread, then report them [IMG] ...

Also, you came off a little whiny, if you're really mad about these posts, then don't read the thread :)

I don't think so. Each time I see something happend in this thread I have hope that PR actually increased. But I am always disappointed after reading it. Someone just said: "no changes".

    :D

A few of the sites (PR 6) that i regularly checked now becomes PR 5.

And based on the posts here, it seems that current PR changes is negative.

Havent seen anyone reported positive PR change on their sites.

I object to having to wade through endless posts with no purpose other than post-count-padding. This thread is about what happened, not what didn't happen. DP has General Chat for totally pointless posts.

As for being whiny, if you don't like my comments, put me on ignore and don't read them.

Exactly. We come into this thread to determine if anything has happened, not to see yet another mindless post saying "nothing happened".

well put. I even doubt Google can identify paid link very efficiently. NO doubt that paid links would last as long as internet and longer than Google's life. :D

If you believe that's what a person is doing, report the post... Posting to increase your post count is an infractionable offense...

If you read the OP's post:
I'd believe that posts saying "no update yet" would be included under the topic of a "pagerank timeline or update"...

I'm not offended by your whining, just letting you know how you come off to others :)

I don't mind the people posting and saying their sites stayed the same. It helps fill out the picture. Otherwise, I'd get the impression that every single site went down.

I have the impression that there has been a Pr update, but it has not been exported to the toolbar.

If I log into the webmasters tools and look under statistics >> crawl stats I note that most of my sites have changes in the little blue bar under the pagerank settings.

I have several PR3 sites that are now showing some pages as being medium - and some other pr4 sites that are now showing no pages as medium.

So, Yes there has been an update of some sorts within the last month or so and NO there has not been a full PR toolbar export for several months.

None of this worrying has affected my traffic, so I'm off to work on what is really important - building links, adding unique content and not worrying too much about the little green bar.

Maybe we will get a toolbar export just in time for christmas... and maybe we wont....

Not that it means alot, but when you are in there you can go Right Click >> View Source and see the attributes in % for the widths of the blue bar.

So instead of the blue bar "looking" like it's changed you can get the exact value. So if Pagerank Unassigned is 18%, and you have a 100 page website you know you have exactly 18 webpages due for PR that havn't been assigned yet according to WT.

Danny Sullivan wrote a very informative post yesterday about the selective PR rollback some sites experienced last week, and claims someone at Google told him it was to penalize link sellers. Guess he has a magic phone line straight to Matt Cutts?

I have just seen some significant changes for my sites.

    3*PR5 to PR4
    2*PR4 to PR3
    5*PR3 to PR2

    136*PR0 to PR1
    1*PR0 to PR2

It seems that a mini-update may have occurred.

W0w, 368 pages and a fairly good rank in google for this forum topic. Pagerank seems to be buzz issue. "Attention Bloggers" haha.

Yes. With this thread becoming so popular. If their is a PR update then im sure this thread will be a minimum PR6. So this will be really good for everyone else page rank just by posting in this thread. Thats if another page rank update does occur and google haven't scrapped it.
