What does everyone think about blog posting to get backlinks? Do the search engines give these links any relevance? I guess this could be a new forum thread...
If the links are in the content, the content supports the links, and the content is relevant to what the other site is about (or the keywords on the blog page's content), then you'll see a boost. If it's just a link back to your site in a blog comment, then you won't see any real boost or benefit (but a link is a link at the end).
it's a continuous process.. you don't stop when you already ranked your site on SE's. Reading SEO related articles and forums will help you understand what SEO really is. it really helps!

You can read all of the materials re SEO. You just have to know that it would always be the right keywords and fresh contents that would be a big factor.
