What's the link to where Matt said this? I'd like to take a look.

No changes for me yet. Hopefully that's good news, if they're getting the reductions out of the way first.

I don't have problem with your view too and I apologize if I sounded disrespectful.

I agree that puts more challenge into this and understand what you are saying.

Sure, enjoy what you do as we all are.

I just got one website out of sandbox and ranked for a term that brings 500+ uniques per day on G and pr is still not updated.

That gave me a reason to switch my obsession and just wanted to share my views. Hope no hard feelings :)

Hey marko, let me buy the knowledge of they keyword from you :p joke.

The PR will have updated in the background, and using differnt anchor text will prevent you being filtered. SERPs are awesome when you have them :)

    For you it's free :)

Nothing much, just small gaming site I own together with my brother www.cool-games.us , ranking for cool games, 3rd or 4th out of 149,000,000 results, depending on weather.

It is not some extraordinary achievement, especially with that keywords url, but still makes me feel good because that was my goal when I started link building.

Jhnrang, sorry for offtopic. No more, I promise.

Marko thats awesome. Getting a game site ranked high in such a competitive niche is some achivement. I plan to do it some day:) It shows you have decent "seo" skills.

To some people they call it 'seo' skills, to others, it's just their natural way of doing things. :)

If you remember in recently couple of pr updates getting PR5 (even sometime PR6) proved to be very easy compared to pre 2006 updates.

So, i think Google is just setting pr standard strict as it used to be in past.

    1. that's pretty much the way the situation is now and has been for some time

    2. there are other reasons for keeping the Google toolbar installed, features I use far more often than I look at Toolbar PR.

If I were Google, I'd simply stop updating Toolbar PR and let it die. It causes more trouble than it's worth.

    jhnrang,

I noticed a few directories dropped internal category PR in late August / September.
Perhaps this is part of that? Or it could be part of the recent PR changes. Not sure.

However, I would hope there are some PR "ups" before the update is over.
