Chitika New User Results

    After waiting close to 2 weeks to get approved. We ran the Chit code on a test site that does well with adsense.

    Since the code has been up from 11/21/2005 to 12/2/2005; our CTR has been 0.22% and the last two days have registered ZERO clicks.

    In the past 2 years, we have never registered a day without adsense clicks on this site.

    What is our total haul from Chitika for the past 10 days of using their code?

    Why, $4.61 and that is before the mysterious 'audit'.

    We also put up the referral code and it has not registered a single hit.

    Needless to say, we are losing money with Chitika and will be putting back the Adsense ads.

    Yeah, your audit will likely bring your earnings down to like 1.50! hahahha...

    Chitika needs to rethink a few things. I'm still using them and waiting it out for a bit since I'm not really losing anything but the audited stuff, which I think HAS to be way off at this point, since Google Analytics registers really low traffic from India and China...

    India and China was quite an understatement on Chitikas behalf, in reality the only accepted countries seems to be US, Australia, UK and a few western european countries, like Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

    chitika is not made for all site...

    seems your site is content based???

    try to make some adjustment in placments and look of chitika ads...
    try to use 150x150 3 or 4 ads in a group, peoples more likly to click ads where they have choices... ( each unit with diffrent keywords )

    its just a rough idea to u.... :)

    The most important thing to get your CTR up with Chitika is to find the right keywords that work with your site. But even if you do it will probably never beat AdSense's CTR and that's why I would never drop Adsense for Chitika but use them together instead.
