Yahoo available in UK?

I had the following email today. I didn't think Yahoo was available in the UK yet. Can you use it on the same site as AdSense?

It isn't available in the UK and no you can't use it on the same site as AdSense (it's against YPN rules to do so). Sorry about that.

Could it be that they are finaly brining YPN to the UK?!?! in Trisha's email they refer to a UK site and a click being over £1 not $$, so its not like they emailed a UK webmaster by mistake.

YPN can be used on the same site as AdSense, just not on the same page at the same time.

Also, the ads on the two websites mentioned is a different type of ad system. YPN (as most know it) is for medium to small publishers from the USA only. What the email was referring to is for large publishers of 20 million + page views per month which can be used from anyone, anywhere.

I'm not sure on their TOS, so as far as AdSense and their ads being displayed at the same time, you should ask first.

I've emailed the person who sent the email to me to ask if YPN has officially been made available to UK publishers. I would have thought there would be more publicity about it, so unless I hear to the contrary I'll treat the email I received as spam.

I've received the following email from Esther Wakeman of justgomedia.com
I think I may stick with Adsense if I can't work directly with Yahoo.

i tried this company out.. Im very unsure what there doing, weather its legal or not..

they allow you to do display ads like yahoo, but instead of linking to yahoo, it has the yahoo logo linking to there website.. very unsure.. seems dodgy to me

anywho, good luck to you all. i seriously doubt ypn is going to make any real recovery, although i'll keep raking in on the niches that are still performing until they screw those up as well.

Yahoo ads are available in the UK through a number of providers. For example, OMG have provided Yahoo feeds for nearly a year - and they are a highly respected affiliate network which has been around for years. We have been serving Yahoo ads via them on our UK sites since the start of the year.

It can be healthy to be sceptical, but sometimes it's a good idea to do some detailed research first - though I know it's not the style of people on DP :)

YPN is not available in the U.K. yet, as far as I know it's U.S. only. When you got to http://publisher.yahoo.com/ it takes you to the YPN homepage, although when you change the TLD to .co.uk, it goes straight to their search marketing page, which used to be Overture.

But I think U.K. will be next as the U.K. is a huge market, and they would be stupid not to come here. Can't wait myself ;).
