Freebies section is a joke!

I think the freebies section needs a sub-forum or something. When you go there all you see is Digg this and Stumble that.

To actualy find a freebie you need to DIGG through about 10 pages and if you are lucky, you may STUMBLE across 1 freebie.

Maybe a new section for Digg's and Stumbles would be better, Anyone else have that problem or do you just go to the " FREEBIES " section for Diggs and Stumbles?

Not going to happen because DIGG 'exchange' is against their tos, and DP not going to endorse all these SB exchanges, atleast not in near future...

Just feel happy that DP allowing you to post all these digg exchange - rock on spammers!

lol Your thread is hilarious but you make a good argument.

 

I know this keeps coming up, and the reason is a logic loop...there is no "Trade" in Buy/Sell/Trade! Those threads belong in "Favors" or "Votes" subfolder, and DP no more need sanction these activitites thereby than as now.
"Exchange" would be a good name for the category, and this problem would stop coming up.

 

That's why I don't visit that forum...

I've found some really nice things there before, but now that it is just diggs and stumble i dont go there much either. When I do, it just takes a page or two before I go somewhere else.

I just wish a new category was made for diggs and stumble and there was a section for freebies. There are some very generous members on DP that use to put up freebies, but i don't think they do anymore because it just gets lost in the chaos.

I am very active in the freebies section. I think stumble exchange threads should be in the main BST area, and not the freebies section, since they are a trade and not something which is free.

Well, the problem is stumble and digg requests are not free - as free would be nothing you had to do to get it. Therefore, if you had to exchange, trade, or do something similar it is a barter, and thus should not be allowed in the "freebies" forum... or maybe a barter forum? I know Shawn killed the idea, but hey... if free ain't free I ain't buy'n

Yeah i wont post anything free there anymore, you blink and its on page 5 because of stumbles and diggs.

Its a shame because it would be a good resource if there was just free stuff. Maybe rename it to Diggupon and forget the freebies lol.

that's exactly what I am talking about, it used to be a good resource, now it is just a glorified myspace train for diggs and stumbles.

I'd love to post some things there, but what is the point when it will be on page 5 in a half an hour.

When I was a newbie I loved going there, I got a lot of good things and a lot of great info and I want to return the favor.

the freebies is a joke now!
and most of the posters ask for something in return and get no infraction on penalty when its against the terms/rules of the section
i was thinking again today how bad they need one!
or just delete the whole freebie section but that would cause alot of baned members posting for dig and stumble upon in the wrong section!
