It's not about emotions, this is not the only experience I had. Want me to tell you another story? Some guy I met locally, he wasn't online or in DP. Come on man, then how about we shutdown all the businesses and stop making money! This wasn't my fault, not even 1%.
Hey, of course designing can be learned. I've actually self taught everything without schooling. It takes a lot of time and practice though, which could be invested in making money somewhere else? That's why big business people hire designers.. rather than spending time to learn it themselves, they could be making millions elsewhere!
Actually you are, you took the money in exchange for delivering a website If you don't deliver the website you are either incompetent or worse the money was not yours until the project was complete, the guy should sue for not delivering what exactly wasn't your fault?
I returned the money, and dont' make this like it's my fault. It is not my fault designers do not honor deals. I honored my deal and returned the money.
So whats the point of this thread now? To show everyone how you take peoples money for 2 months and don't deliver? I am not sure why you would air out your dirty laundry for all of dp to see.......
You started a thread about how you kept someones money for 2 months and partied with it, and then didn't deliver,... And I simply just point out some facts... How is that attacking ? The only one attacking you is YOU ....LMAO
That wasn't the point of the thread, money is no problem for me. The point of the thread is that designers don't honor there deals. Not that I didn't return someone's money for two months. Plus even though, I got scammed by the designer and was able to return the money. So why am I on Trial here?
Kingofkings, it's just 1 designer, he can't represent all of us.... put it into an analogy between races.. if XXXX race did something bad to you, doesn't mean all of them are like that...
Not all designers are out to scam you. I wouldn't let this one incident affect how you feel about designers. I use peoples services for different things but I always make sure they have a good reputation.
It sounds easy when you say it, but when you experienced what I experienced things will look different. Even with good reputation, you can find alot of people out there taking advantage of that good reputation and scamming you.

I've experienced being scammed from clients, it does kind of stay with you in a way since you think it'll happen again. But that's why we "learn" from our mistakes and find other safer ways when dealing with customers/clients..
Scriptlance is the place I go to find someone who can do what I need. They have a good system in place that helps to find a trustworthy person.

I just try to complete the work asap, not like you who just choose to party Sure, I do have complaints , but such is business and I try to make everyone happy, I just don't "start parting" with peoples money.... My reputation is as good as gold, That trade that I did was even before I became a business man.(Even before I even joined DP) Yep you heard it right, I was still driving around with with BMW's and living life the rich guy that I am. Ofcourse right now when I started business, my reputation is gold. Search all DP, and you will know what I'm saying...
KoK it sounds more like you didn't like being scammed when you set out to scam both your dad's friend (charging over the odds so you can make a lot) and scamming the designer (not paying them what the guy (dads friend) was paying for) did it never cross your mind that the guy would want you to do extra work on the site you Designed for him? and you would be at a loss. are you not also taking advantage of him because he knows nothing about webdesign and then bitching about web designers taking advantage? aint that what you did? lol oh boy shhhh you're digging yourself into a deeper hole
