Well looks like Demonoid is backup!! ------------------ Downtime We received a letter from a lawyer represeting the CRIA, they were threatening with legal action and we need to start blocking Canadian traffic because of this. Thanks for your understanding, and sorry for any inconvenience.
I'm actually very shocked.. Canada has always been slack and lenient on this issue and I assume the reason being that they charge a copyrite tax when you buy blank cd's ... The government better not be charging Canadians tax on them now Any Canadian could just use a proxy to visit. The CRIA isn't too bright.
I dont know if you're reading this, but sometimes demonoid does not send out/forgets to send out confirmation emails. This means that you're invite was probably wasted. I had to try thrice before getting in Btw, its down again:
I used it about an hour ago, lots of seeders but the server is going kinda slow. For those wanting to get in to download. You know you can still download I think 3 files without being a member. After that you'll need to become a member.
The latest changes to the site are giving us some problems - We'll be back soon That's probably why its running slow.
