    if you get this e-mail simply mark it as spam, and soon or later any e-mails sent from that e-mail will end up in the spam folder

    In all honesty, i would have fallen for this.

    Create a new SQL user, and add it to the database. Delete the other user, and change config.php.

    That is the only motive of this thread.
    Frankly, many will fall for these mails.
    But that doesn't mean that people falling for these ideas are dumb. Anyone can...and that's the bottomline here. So be careful and watch out for such mails.

    iPod, if someone else emails me a similar email, should it be recommended that i pm the user to verify on this forum?

    People can use phpmail to make fake emails, and i have never fallen for these before, because it explains in gmail that is doesn't appear to be from who it says it is from.

    Obviously, the scammer is trying to get away with a free copy of anon's deeplink script. Once he's stolen it, he'll probably try to sell it as his own.
