Advice Regarding Images To Use On My Gambling/Betting Website?...

    Hi there,

    I've recently updated my betting information website and have space for images on around 7 pages.
    The images will be shown at the top of the page, in the right hand space.

    I've uploaded some basic textures made in Fireworks for now, just because I couldn't think what else I could put there.

    Obviously my website is related to gambling and to betting - more specifically, techniques used to guarantee profits from gambling.

    I would start off by incorporating a gambling related image to the right of your header.. and then wrapping some more photographs within your content area.

    Agree with '8'. Ditch that blue canvas texture. Add images in your header that convey gambling...chips, cards, green felt, card shoes, etc...

    Check out some other gambling related sites to see what your competition is up too, then do better than that :D

    Thanks for the advice.
    The thing is, I don't want it to look like a typical gambling site, with all the obvious affiliate links and stuff - my site has advice which is guaranteed to make you money from betting, so I want something which looks professional and money related too :confused:

    Not sure if i'm being a bit too picky really.

    Also I can't just use roulette and poker images throughout the site - this is okay on 1 page, but the others are only related to betting using bookmakers. Any kind of images you can think of which are related to an online bookmaker?

    Well personally I think it should look a lot more glitzy.
    I don't mean lots of flashy trashy casino site-style gifs and shit, though,
    I mean something less, well, drab.

    Stock photos of horses would be one idea, and soccer of course. Perhaps even a collage of sorts cleverly blended together.

    And lets not forget the firm favourite, some guy (bonus points if it's a sexy lady) fanning a fat wad of lolly at the camera - a simple image, to be sure, and more than a little hackneyed but y'know, they're the tried and trusted images that work and, at the end of the day, it's fat wads of cash your demographic are going to want to see and that's what they hope to find having read your website.
